JUMEAUX ARTHUR CHRISTOFELL COREA was born in 1874, to Mudaliyar Christofell Corea of Karukkuwa Walauwe, Madampe and his wife, Sophie Amarasekera. He had three brothers, Edward  (Mudaliyar), Allan and James (a Proctor). Jumeaux was a surveyor by profession. He married Adeline Beatrice Lucy Amaresekera, the daughter of Conrad Amarasekera, a Crown Proctor practicing in the courts of Kurunegala. They resided at 'Fairline' in Chilaw, and had five daughters, Ordella, Eulalie, Ena, Iralanda (Ira) and Manel. A gentle and kindly person, he was a devout Christian.
